Erythroplasia Of Queyrat
The erythroplasia of Queyrat is a form of skin cancer (Bowen’s disease) on the penis. The cause is unknown, but it is much rarer in circumcised males.
It appears as a raised, velvety, red patch on the head of the penis, and is diagnosed by a biopsy.
Anticancer cream containing 5-fluorouracil gives good results, but if left untreated, the cancer may spread onto the foreskin and break down into an ulcer.
